May not be the same case, but 've see similar things pop up on Tumblr before with the same, alienating sentiment.

It's not all that new.

Yup. My girlfriend pointed something like this out on goodreads a year or so back.

Women, apparently, just don't understand the gay male soul in a deep enough way to really capture their experiences.

Chuck Tingle, on the other hand, is apparently A-ok. And I mean, Chuck Tingle is A-ok, the fucking mad genius that he is, but let's not fuck about, you can't claim women can't capture the depth of gay erotica when you got the wonderful Mr Tingle out there.

To be fair I don't think women can capture the depth of Chuck Tingle either.
