What pairing/character do you love but never have the chance to talk about? Either because no one else is really into them or there is no fandom or they just simply get eclipsed by other things.

I really love Connie/Sasha from Attack on Titan. While I think generally everyone in the fandom likes them, no one really cares a lot about them. They are often just in the background and overshadowed by all the popular ships.

I just think they are really cute together and there is just so much there to be explored.

Kanan/Ezra from Star Wars Rebels. It's such a tiny ship, and with all the current hostility towards 'problematic' ships like mentor/student I don't want to bring it up non-anon.

I like Kanan/Ezra if you want to talk about it. I love mentor/student ships so fistbump of solidarity since I don't want to talk about my other ships either.

Oh wow, was not expecting that, but here goes. I just really like that we actually see a lot of their relationship on screen and how it grows. We really get to see how much they mean to each other. They both have similar pasts, both spent time on the streets and know loss. They both have the potential to either be really amazing for each other, or really fuck each other up.

The first season especially and how it deals with Ezra saving Kanan from himself and his own self-doubt and fears? I know it's maybe not the best trope, but I freakin' love it in fiction. (as a side note, I keep meaning to read the Jedi Apprentice series since I've heard that's basically Obi-Wan's role for Qui-Gon)

I definitely had a shippy vibe in season one but I don't remember from what exactly. I clearly need to rewatch. But I definitely really liked them this last season where Kanan backed off a bit and trusted Ezra more, and Ezra seemed to be maturing. I loved their last exchange from this season, and I'm curious where they are going next season, especially as they might end up dead or exiled to put them in line with the movies. My only disappointment so far with their relationship is that they seemed to gloss over a lot of Ezra's training and I would've liked to see more of that.

Obi-wan/Qui-gon is an OTP of mine but I kind of hate the Jedi Apprentice books for their character assassination of Qui-gon.

(Is this the first you've mentioned Ezra/Kanan here? If so, I know there's a dedicated fan of the ship here.)

I really would have loved to see more of their training too. They were some of my favorite scenes, and I do really love seeing characters learning and changing.

I actually haven't seen the last season because the tumblr fandom just burnt me out so badly I couldn't really handle it. Waiting to give it a fair shot once I recover, but I still really like the pairing. I think I mentioned it... a year or so ago? Did a secret that I wished it would get as popular as the other master/padawan ships and was met with a resounding ewww no from most of f!s that commented so I don't think I really mentioned it since then?

For me, I would just love to see more of how Jedi train. It's especially telling for Kanan to see how much he actually knows as that really informs how good a teacher he could be. I think it would've served both characters really well to see Kanan struggling to overcome his own doubts and Ezra struggling to learn the concepts of Jedi fighting. But, even beyond how it would really enrich both characters, I'm just really curious about the logistics of training and to see more insight into Jedi philosophy. Kanan is sort of a pseudo-Jedi in some ways so more concrete details would let him feel like more of a Jedi to me. I don't always feel that Ezra is a Jedi. He can use the Force but Kanan really hasn't been shown giving him too much about Jedi philosophy. I'd love more.

I think you'll like the new season? I did. They start out a little rocky but move on from there. I'm sorry fandom sucked. I generally stay away from fandom but I did notice it when I looked for stuff on Kallus after a reveal about him. Some people were awful. But, good news, there are at least two other fans of the ship here. :)

I'm glad I'm not alone! I also love speculating on Jedi philosophy. Like I headcanon that the no-attachment thing was originally intended to mean no-favoritism. Jedi are supposed to be peacekeepers and diplomats, so it was to theoretically allow justice to be blind and prevent a lot of corruption and favoritism. Of course it's not perfect and could be badly interpreted and misused, but the idea wasn't a bad one.

There's just so much room to play around with the universe and concepts.

Any recs for non-wanky fanworks? For art about the only person I can think of is !NSFW! https://niwaniwaniwaco.tumblr.com !NSFW! and while they're really yaoi-tropey I haven't found many other artists.

Tony Stark and Martin Crieff (Cabin Pressure). It is understandable because the only reason I am into is because there is one fic series about that pairing.

I always liked Jinora and Kai from LoK.

I love them! I was so disappointed that they got forgotten about near the end of LoK (as did a lot of characters, but...)

I still like him, but yeah. Is it just me or is there a definite "The Jedi are the REAL evil." trend in fandom right now?

It's not just you and it's a real bummer. It feels 2Edgy4U. I mean, there's definitely a debate to be had about the Jedi's philosophy but you can't have that debate in good faith anywhere. It's black and white that the Jedi were the real villains and the Sith are just misunderstood. I'm so tired of it.

Yeah, I like to think the Jedi philosophy is flawed but comes from a good place. But I think people like to see the Sith as basically... antiheroes. They're the Deadpool or Punisher, badass and cool and violent.

So basically, Trump supporters.

I have become hardcore into Ideo (and Bluegilly, and the pairing by extension) from One Piece and there is almost zero in fanworks. I'm only of the only people writing fic, and I can't find art to save my life.

I don't know why of all the Grand Fleet, they've captured my interest. Maybe it's the Longarm and Longleg thing, idk, but most of fandom is all about Bartolomeo and Cavendish rather than the Triple-X crew. I long for someone to fan-flail with me.

I really love Eleven/Mike from Stranger Things, but for how big of a success the show was, it doesn't have much of a fandom. And it seems like Mike and Eleven are too young to ping a lot of people's ship radar or something? Which, ok, fair enough. I wouldn't be comfortable reading anything beyond a T rating with them anyway, unless they're aged up. But I still love them to bits and wish there were more people shipping them - especially more adults.
