Also, they are violent.

Also, if you want to talk about Milo, Milo, when speaking in college settings, literally uses his speeches on campus to out transgender students and illegal immigrant students. That's not "just words that we don't like". That is using your speech to do real and concrete harm to vulnerable populations. Preventing him from speaking is a legitimate and valid aim for protests, although I do not think that violence is justified towards that end.

And when they get violent, then by all means bring violence back upon them. Or, you know, call the cops instead of telling them to stand down. It's a bunch of tiny fringe idiots. Don't let them live rent-free in your head.

And, no. Preventing someone from speaking is not the answer. The answer to speech you don't like (IIRC, the trans student he "outed" was already out, and IMO illegal immigrants don't belong here; let them jump through hoops Like legal immigrants have to, instead of jumping the line) is more speech. Because pretty soon someone thinks you're the one inciting violence and endangering people, and then you're the one who's muzzled.
