Totally! It's so great in all those ways and more! <3 Also, Kuja >>> Sephy. Because he did in mere hours (at most) what Sephy failed to do in much more time. Destroy a planet. Not that I think that's commendable behavior, but c'mon. Kuja is way more badass.

Also, I really like Zidane, partly because he's no an angstbucket. ^_^ But, I should really stop since I could go on and on and on and on about how much I effin' love this game~<3

Hey hey, I adore this game too! It's great how all the characters get their turn in the spotlight and have their own personal problems to overcome, not like FFVIII where everyone's character development took a backseat to the Squall/Rinoa romance. IX is my fave FF. It needs so much more love! *huggles*

FF8 was pretty lame. And made no sense.

I'm a huge fan of the FF series but my favourites are the ones with lots of character development. FFVIII was alright but Selphie, Irvine, Quistis... they all lost out to Squinoa. :/

I dunno, are they? I'm not really in the FF fandom. ^^; Makes me think of the .hack fandom - everyone I met there is really nice/not wanky.

Not sure why it's so, but it is. Maybe because most people either liked it or hated it. Also, our fandom doesn't contain 70% fanboys/girls. *coughFFVIIcough* XD

I'm sure there must be fangirls (probably for Kuja), but I don't recall ever seeing that creature.

I can proudly say I have never fangirled a character before.

Well, I probably fangirled, but in an intelligent way. Not "OMG Squee I want his babies!!1" but instead, "Dude, that guy is awesome!"

Bahaha, my favorite character of all time is in my icon, too. >w< He's pretty cool, and he has traits that I like.

Oh, I'm completely guilty of fangirling intelligently but I can say with pride I have never used, "Squee!" before. Also at the risk of sporkage, who exactly is that guy in your icon? I love my anime but haven't watched any for ages and he's not from anything I'm familiar with. (Mind, I live under a rock.)

Uh, I have. A few times. Overcome with fannish joy I squee'd. XD;; Ah well, it was because of supremely awesome stuff. Squees, while usually caused by bishies, can originate from different sources as well.

Haha, it's Sora from .hack//SIGN. Which means that Kingdom Hearts always throws me off. XD Dammit, the names are spelled differently in Japanese! [le sob] Anyway, .hack is supremely awesome - it's a media-spanning conglomerate which each story interconnecting in many ways, along with goodies for those with sharp eyes. ^-^ That also means we have much fewer squealing fangirls.

I'm going to see Phantom of the Opera next week. Again. If Warlow comes out the stage door that will be a real-life "squee" so... I lose. ^.^" Unfortunately for me, since they made PotO into a movie my fandom's been overrun by screaming Gerard Butler fangirls. It's mighty painful. He was cast purely on his looks and his voice is way sub-par yet the fangirls still worship him.

Oh, I read a couple of issues of .hack//SIGN (I think it was SIGN. It had Balmung in it. He was cool.) Not enough to know the story -- my friend had it so I just swiped it for a day or so -- but it seemed interesting.

Also (I meant to add this to my other comment but memory like sieve) mind if I friend you? You seem pretty cool and it'd be nice to have someone on my f-list who's interested in video games/anime. I alternately fangirl and complain but if you're cool with that...

Oh, I saw that movie... but I don't think first. Anyway, my favorite Phantom is from the.. '82 Broadway showing, I think. He had a really good voice, high. ^_^ I loved his almost childishly gleeful laugh.

Um, the manga is //Udeden. ^^; //SIGN is the anime with Tsukasa-kun. But yes, the only bad .hack is the crappy //Udeden anime, since it's uncanon and bad.

You're talking about Michael Crawford. Lots of people pimp him for being the original and it's true he has a lovely voice but it lacks power. Still, would've loved to have seen him.
