Isn't doll hair made of plastic filaments? How is that comparable to real hair?

Languages evolve. If I recall, first uses of asexual as a word were to describe 'sexually cold' women ... which meant 'just probably not that into my husband' in 19th century. It was opposed to 'hysterical' which could have meant anything in the end, to be fair.

And the homoromantic, heteroromantic and others existed as descriptor for ages. I recall seeing even heterosexual homoromantics (likes opposite gender but forms relationships with same one). However, it has tended to mean which relationships one prefers more than romantic attraction but could have varied in different areas or whatnot.

New terms would be ones like demisexual and demiromantic so ... ones you mention are long past shiny and new stage. Also, adding lesbian or gay to asexual makes sense as they tend to cover any sort of homo- relationship, attraction and lifestyle part.

Point was - language always gets blurred at some point, moves to other terms or invents new ones.

Didn't watch past 3rd season so the character seemed different to me then but then again - people see stuff differently.

I agree with the 'pack mum' trope as while it seemed to have started as a parody of Stiles keeping tabs on everyone, it did go to some kind of default portrayal played straight at one point. Would say Stiles does not fit that as he was way too immature for me and cannot say anyone would really fit this for me at all. Maybe Alisson's dad at one point?

I mean, I'm pretty sure asexual actually used to be a biological term originally where it meant organisms that are able to reproduce asexually. So the real question is: is the person ITT who's insisting on using the word in the correct way an amoeba, bacteria or fungus?

Are the fics you read not in an archive that has filters?

Annotated commentaries? Like, line by line stuff?

Re: I don't fully agree with your assessment of his actual character.

ayrt

his jerkiness seems pretty clearly to be defense/ coping mechanisms - Yes, absolutely. Though some of his insults and bile are aimed at people who completely deserve it, like Jackson, Harris, Matt, etc. and even Isaac, to a degree (Derek's pack all went to Scott's house to kill Lydia during the kamina thing, but Isaac was the one who threatened her directly to Stiles and Isaac was the one who beat up Stiles while trying to get to her).

I think you're right about the social circle, too.

Actually need to look that up as you probably are right on first use in biology of the world but I think there was some other thing it described first as I recall it not making sense. Anyway, meant human sexuality related uses :P, otherwise we'd have a lot of public reproduction. I imagined people casually cutting themselves in half and building new human out of spilled organs. Yeah, I know it is all cellural levels but the picture amused me.

Re: What's your personal hygiene like?

(Anonymous) 2017-09-09 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
I shower or bathe a few times a week, depending on how dirty I get. Not usually daily, as I'm rarely that physically active that I need it.

I wash underarms as needed, change underwear usually twice a day, and wash my hair 2-3 times a week. It could probably use more frequent washing as it's rather inclined to get greasy. But I do what I can.

And I don't really judge anyone else's hygiene if I can't smell their sweat. I do, however, judge heavy perfume and aftershave odors, as I'm allergic.

Yeah. If your reading preferences speak of your sexuality, then all those lesbians reading M/M ad het are clearly dying for a cock.

There's so much to unpack in this. The racist stuff is obvious, but... she washed her doll's hair everyday? That's something I'd imagine some serial killer doing. What was this doll doing that its hair got dirty? Did this woman have literally nothing better to do than shampoo and conditioner her doll's hair on the daily?

this comment is so stupid I felt the need to say so even though it's like 3 weeks old
