Uhhhhh, I guess my post wasn't clear. What I'm saying is that the male gaze is not necessarily always good at providing titillation.

Lol, this truth.

Gender is fairly irrelevant when it comes to what's hot to me in fiction. Men can be hot, women can be hot, het can be hot, slash and femslash can be hot - it's all in the context, the set up, how it's shown, how it's played, etc. And frankly, the male gaze is shockingly terrible at producing fictional scenarios that I find hot.
