Re: The more a (straight) guy tells you he's a feminist, the more likely he is to be shitty.

I see what you're saying, and I do agree, gays can be just as shitty to women as straights - in fact so can women, imo, so Chard's usually anthem of "BLAME MANADA!" always falls shockingly flat to me - but, and may Odin forgive me for siding with Chardster here, there is a much greater chance that a STRAIGHT male feminist is just trying to get his dick wet.

Of course there's also no guarantee that a lesbian is not equally playing a feminist to get clam so...

As to your point, I agree that the motivations behind shitty behaviour - be it hornyness from straights or dislike from gays - don't necessarily make that behaviour worst or better, I just mean that there is a difference. Which may or may not be what Chards saying here, but it's worth considering.

My problem with the "only straight men" narrative is that I know a ton of gay men who think they can get away with some of the grossest misogyny and still call themselves feminists because ~bitch I'm practically one of the girls~ and other annyoing reasons.

Agreed. But broadly speaking there is probably a difference in motivation if not necessarily a difference in how shitty it ends up being. Maybe splitting hairs, but it's fair to say straight are doing it for different reasons.

You're right, lesbians aren't women and never experience sexism

What the fu...

How did you extrapolate "Lesbians aren't women and never experience sexism" from "there's also no guarantee that a lesbian is not equally playing a feminist to get clam so... "? Like... there's literally no cross over.

I mean if you want to boil down my comment to its basic, you'd come away with a comment saying lesbians are equally capable of deceit and don't necessarily identify as feminist by default.

Are you trying to saying that being a woman and experiencing sexism has to make you a feminist, and so the only conclusion you can draw from me saying a lesbian may necessarily be actually be a feminist is that I'm saying that lesbians do not fit that criteria that automatically makes you a feminist, I.e Being a woman and experiencing sexism?

I mean, there seems to be a major disconnect between what I said and how you're interpreting it.

Also, I really don't get the "Sssh, Rich" reference, but I'd really like to, if you care to explain?

You get it, dude.

I'm sure you'd love to live in a world where women don't care about this shit, wouldn't you? It's sad when you encounter some with self esteem and shit

So to be clear, you are saying that being a woman and experiencing sexism automatically makes you a feminist?

I really really don't get the "Rich" thing. seriously.
