Me and my dad always watch The Nightmare Before Christmas on Christmas eve. Has been going strong since I was 6 and I'll still never get bored of it.

Edit: Might sound childish, but my brother travels to visit at Christmas and me and my dad still make a point of opening presents together. Like even if one of us has overslept, no one will open a single present until the three of us are in the same room.

For Christmas we always have a non-traditional dinner. And the kids always get to open one present on Christmas Eve. I also make cinnamon rolls every morning.

I'm another one for a non-traditional Christmas dinner. My dad usually just cooks a from-scratch spaghetti bolognese or chilli and it's amazing.

Non traditional Christmas dinners are the best! I wish I could convince my family to do it.

Every morning after spending the night at my Grandmom's house, I eat waffles. I've been doing that since I was 7, and I'm 24 and still do this!

The only one we still have holds unpleasant memories for me: Election Day. I go over to my parents' house and we'll get some sort of takeout for dinner and hang out and watch the results come in.

(The last one, I ended up staying the night over there because we were all up super late, and that was the most miserable, fearful, hopeless sleepless night I've ever had. I finally fell asleep and got a couple hours of restless sleep before getting up and hurrying home to wash my face, change clothes and go to work. I was already late and didn't even get to take a shower, and I spent the day as a horribly depressed, cranky zombie. Everyone else I came in contact with that day felt the same way and there was just this total cloud of despair hanging over everything. It was fucking awful.)

All I can say is I hope the next one is significantly better.
