But it doesn't need to top the original to be good. And it would have been good for an explicitly gay adventure series version of Xena to exist in 2017.

I'd like an explicitly gay fantasy series on tv in 2017 but I'm also tired of reboots all the time and would like some new stories and characters. I probably would've given this a chance though.

I guess my position is, if it's good, it's good and it should exist.

And it's not like this Xena project falling apart means that they're going to give us an original LBGT+ adventure series instead.

I mean you're right about the second thing I'm just reboot fatigued so for me it was kind of like...I would have rather seen the energy and money go into a new thing instead of a reboot? I guess?

But as for the first thing a lot of things don't end up getting made no matter how good they are or how much they should exist idk what else to say there.

Um, some of us would prefer nothing that ruins our memories of the original. See ABC's recent 'remake' of Dirty Dancing.
