What is the worst movie you have seen in theater?

Why did you see it?

The Wicker Man. My dad had to bug bomb our house so he made my sister and I go see a movie while it aired out. I have no idea what our other options were but we watched that movie. I think that is where my hate of Nicholas Cage comes from.

NOT THE BEEEEES, HOW'D IT GET BUUUURNED

The original is one of me and my dad's favourite films ever. When we saw the remake we were sort of torn between appalled and hysterical laughter. This mock-up trailer is classic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_mW8mBzmHo

Some films should just never, ever be remade. Someone actually looked at the original Wicker Man and thought "Yeah but we could do this way better with Nicolas Cage in a bear suit spouting one-liners and punching women"

I feel better reading this because it's one of those films that when I say I've never seen, I get assaulted by "YOU'VE NEVER SEEN TITANIC WTF YOU HAVEN'T LIVED WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU"

Guess I'm not missing much?

Good to know. I keep meaning to put aside a night to watch it but all I know of it comes from that Futurama episode and I don't think I'll ever be able to take it seriously.

You're not. It's a pretty crappy hybrid romance/disaster flick, and neither elements are well developed enough to make you care.

Here"s a couple of spoilers: The ship sinks and Jack dies.

I'd watch a version of Titanic with the stupid romantic plot removed and the deleted scenes that were of historically accurate events put back in.

Hitman, probably. I watched it because I was with friends and it was high school and we had snuck a bottle of vodka somewhere and we wanted to watch a shitty action movie.

Batman & Robin

I mean, I have questionable tastes in movies at times, and this... this bored me so badly, I was falling asleep in the theatre. Same thing with Mortal Kombat: Annihilation.

Annihilation was genuinely awful but the first Mortal Kombat is one of my go-to "so bad it's great" movies.

I agree on Mortal Kombat: Annihilation. I think the only good think about it was that I think I saw it in a three-movie overnight marathon at my local cinema in the 90s. The other two movies may have made up for it to some degree, unless it was sharing with The Ghost and the Darkness and Spawn. But I doubt it, my head wants to say those were in a marathon night with The Frighteners.

Scary Movie 4 because I was like 13 when Scary Movie 3 came out and loved it, and had low standards. Apparently not low enough to suffer through Scary Movie 4, because I walked out halfway through.

13 year olds generally have low standards. I liked a lot of crap when I was that age.

Resident Evil: Extinction. Had just made a good friend who genuinely loved the movies and had never played the games. Was a bonding experience at least.

Green Hornet. It doesn't help that I have a somewhat irrational hate for Seth Rogan to begin with, but godDAMN were his obnoxious levels maxed out in this shitstain of a movie. Admittedly, I was predisposed to hate the movie to begin with due to my aforementioned and probably unjustified disdain for Rogan, but nothing I saw gave me reason to rethink my preconceived notions. Honestly, the only reason I saw it in the first place was 'cause it was mom's birthday and the Green Hornet was her favorite superhero when she was a kid (she was not impressed with the movie either).

I don't like Seth Rogan either, he's an unfunny jerkoff and he looks like Fred Flinstone.

It's a toss-up between Highlander 2 and Blair Witch 2. Highlander 2 was pre-ubiquitous internet so we didn't know what we were getting into on opening night. Blair Witch 2 I ended up seeing because I was bored and lonely while traveling for a convention, and ended up even more bored and lonely.
