At all the cons I've gone to, the furries were always the best behaved. It pissed me off so much when a (non-furry) group I met up with joked about going around cutting off their tails. They acted like it was no big deal, but furries put so much work into their fursuits! Even if they're able to sew it back together with no one the wiser, no one should have to deal with that crap.

Furries also helped me put together a Silent Hill nurse costume. I'd've never figured out how to make the full head mask without their tutorials on how to make model heads.

Yeah I have definitely met some nice furries at cons (never been to a furrycon, just comic/anime ones). There was one con I was at that had a mess of an elevator situation, and there were these two people in FANTASTIC but super bulky costumes that looked sort of similar to the deer gods in Princess Mononoke, and I spent some time with them trying to help them get an elevator, since the stairs were out of the question for them. They were nice people and way more chill about the elevator situation than all the people who just didn't want to go up a flight of stairs and kept cutting in front of them.
