Yeah, but it's not just Kate. It happened (albeit not so much as to undo her previous lack of popularity) to Kirsten Stewart and it happened to Gillian Anderson. Although they're bi, people emphasize their fancying of women.

Who you fancy shouldn't really play into your popularity, even though the sexuality in question is under represented. God knows gay and bi people are as given to being complete jackasses as anyone else.

I'm sure the fashion will pass, but we just have to wait.
