Oh lol, I almost (ALMOST) forgot how dick-friendly Spartacus was. Though show's writing is so-so and it is stupidly over-the-top in terms of gore and gruesome deaths. But it's one of the few shows out there that objectified the men as much as - no, MORE than - the women. Plus, all the gay romance!

But I am pretty sure he was wearing a dick sock right? I thought an interview said they wore fake dicks over their real dicks for um modesty or whatever. Or are the dick socks only for the naked scenes where you don't actually have to show your dick...

(Anonymous) 2017-09-22 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)
raise your hand if you went back to the pic and looked closely for the dick sock

(Anonymous) 2017-09-22 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I've never seen this show, but I've heard of actors wearing fake dicks before and I find the concept pretty ridiculous. I don't know if dick socks are the same thing - sounds like something you wear to keep your dick from touching your co-star.

(Anonymous) 2017-09-23 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
The concept is kind of silly, but at the same time, I can respect people wanting to keep their actual genitals private. Plus if the character dick is supposed to have a certain aesthetic - be really big, really hairy, circumcised or not - I can imagine people would rather wear a fake one.

(Anonymous) 2017-09-22 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
I thought dick socks were specifically for scenes were the nudity would pixellated or not shown at all - in which case, they're more for... er, protecting your co-workers from accidentally touching your junk like during a love scene. Now that may be a prosthetic but I have idea. It looks real. But I don't know how far advanced our fake dick technology is these days, LOL...

I had never heard of dicksocks before reading this comment and I love you for introducing me to the concept.

What an ugly cock.

(Anonymous) 2017-09-22 11:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh please do elaborate on the details of penile aesthetics lol

(Anonymous) 2017-09-22 11:05 pm (UTC)(link)
No, it's a nice softie with shaved pubes, nothing wrong with it.

(Anonymous) 2017-09-22 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
It seems fine to me.

What qualities make a cock good-looking to you?

(Anonymous) 2017-09-22 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Haha, guess Ugly Anon is enjoying a nice change of pace and getting to criticize dick aesthetics now.

(Anonymous) 2017-09-22 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow, I would not have guessed that was Haldir. He's pretty ugly, though I guess Haldir was on the uglier side as elves go (in the movies only, obvs). Still this guy looks like a trash pickup guy or something.

(Anonymous) 2017-09-22 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Ugly, really? I don't think he was attractive as Haldir (tbh, ALL the elves minus Arwen and young-Orlando Bloom were bafflingly unattractive, imo) but I think he's fairly cute in Spartacus.

(Anonymous) 2017-09-22 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Regular attractive grown man, looks to me.

I think that's an extremely unfortunate haircut, and the angle/his expression is a little weird. He's not, like a model, but he's an okay looking guy in general.

I think he's extremely fine. He's one of those guys who looks better with long hair. When he has long hair for a role, he looks yummy.

(Anonymous) 2017-09-23 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
That's definitely better.

He just looks better with long hair. This is him as Darken Rahl. With long hair, he's yummy.

Yup. LOTS was very nice with the equal opportunity eye candy.

(Anonymous) 2017-09-23 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
I will agree 100% Richard and Rahl were shirtless and in leather pants about 90%. And Cara and Kahlen were equally treated. I really appreciated that show -- not just this aspect, but I really liked the plot and characters. I think I came out loving Cara a lot.

I clicked on the link expecting a pic of a guy with gorgeous long hair. Instead, I got a pic of a guy with a combo Farrah Fawcett/Rachel from Friends wig. I'm sure he'd look nice with natural long hair but... yikes. That screams low budget fantasy to me.
