101. I'll be your fandom friend! XD

This comes from the person who does John Cleese's silly walk in public.

PUBLIC.

Let's be nerds together. ♥

103. Well…yeah.

106. Yay. :)

120. No.

No it is not.

121. Because that bitch-ass game is about MATH.

MATH! DDD:

I'm an IB kid, so I feel the same way. XD

122. D: Cyuuut. (It took me a second to figure out the 25 thing. Then I was like "OHHHH! … Awwwh!")

[identity profile] scootermcgaffin.livejournal.com 2008-06-14 10:18 pm (UTC)(link)
101. You are awesome. That's not sarcasm.

121. It's not even that it's about math, for me, since I loved sphere break in X-2. It's that it's invisible, random math. "Okay, so you have these stats, but, uh...we're just going to randomly add or subtract up to five points in either direction, kay?" "Wait. What?" "LOL -5! -5! -5!"

[identity profile] yukitheawesome.livejournal.com 2008-06-14 10:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Hahaha! Good point. XD

I can do the math, which makes me feel even more hopeless because most of my calculations tell me that I can't even make a successful pass, let alone shoot. I am terribly frustrated I'm making my Wakka suck on something other than cock or tits.

[identity profile] yukitheawesome.livejournal.com 2008-06-15 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
YAY!

-PETS-

[identity profile] bre-the-writer.livejournal.com 2008-06-15 08:46 pm (UTC)(link)
You're an IB kid?! You automatically rock. *is an IB grad*

[identity profile] yukitheawesome.livejournal.com 2008-06-15 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)
XD Thanks! You rock, too.

Did you have pre-IB?

[identity profile] bre-the-writer.livejournal.com 2008-06-16 10:06 am (UTC)(link)
Two years of it, ninth and tenth grades. And people dropped out of the program like flies those two years...we went from having seventy-five IB freshmen to having twenty-some-odd IB seniors. Did you?

[identity profile] yukitheawesome.livejournal.com 2008-06-16 05:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Yup. I'm going into Junior year, the real stuff, in September. (O, frabjous day. -rolls eyes-)

I know what you mean! I swear, I'm the only one of my friends staying full IB. x_x

[identity profile] bre-the-writer.livejournal.com 2008-06-17 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
It's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. People make a huge fuss over the Extended Essay, but really, it's not that bad. The hard part is keeping it under 4,000 words--especially if it's a topic you know a lot about. (English A1 for me--I did my paper on the Narnia chronicles and what the children stand for.) Even the final tests aren't that bad, and the only IA I had trouble with was the Math SL one. Math essays were clearly invented by sadists. ToK, however, was an incredible pain.

I, personally, think the smaller classes are a lot better than the bigger ones. Most of the IB Seniors took Spanish--there were maybe nine of us in French, and I think only one or two in Latin--and my French class was insane amounts of fun. We had a running joke going--in French--that my friend Marjorie had eaten my friend Calli's three babies. (Long story.)

[identity profile] yukitheawesome.livejournal.com 2008-06-17 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
I have no idea what I'll want to do for my essay. gkdfghdf. So what exactly IS ToK? No one ever really told me.

Yay! Une autre personne qui a pris des français! (<-- mon Français might suck.)

[identity profile] bre-the-writer.livejournal.com 2008-06-17 11:04 am (UTC)(link)
Basically, ToK has two parts. The first year/half of the course (depending on if you do it the way we did it or not) you mainly study philosophy--Descartes, Plato, Aristotle, Kant, all that. The second year/half is an in-depth study of the Ways of Knowing and Areas of Knowledge. It's more or less a course in how to think. I would direct you to the official IBO page on ToK (http://www.ibo.org/diploma/curriculum/core/knowledge/), but it's a little sketchy on details. I once told my brother that the basic ToK curriculum is "Day 1: We don't know anything. The remainder of the course: This is how we KNOW that we don't know anything."

Ton français, c'est bon. J'aimerais la classe de français, et j'étais trise que je ne voulais pas l'étudier cet ans.
