Media you never tire of

[personal profile] philstar22 2017-09-25 11:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Is there any media that you never tire of watching, that you would be ready to watch any time and anywhere?

For me that would be LOTR, Star Wars, Buffy, and ATLA.

I don't think I could ever get tired of MST3K or the Beatles

The Lion King of course. I can watch that any day, any mood.

I have also not gotten tired of Mad Max: Fury Road. It is such an amazing movie.

I'm still playing a shit ton of Overwatch. I have soooo many hours in it. But I don't think that'll be a media I'll love forever. I thought that of WoW.

Oooo, yes to the Lion King. I should add that to the list. I have multiple versions of the soundtrack (and the musical soundtrack) as well. The music just makes me happy.

Cardcaptor Sakura and FMA. I'm not as into anime as I was in my teens, but those are two I'll never get bored of.

Also games that I grew up playing a lot; Panzer Dragoon Saga, NiGHTS, the Legacy of Kain series, the early Silent Hills and the old Sonics. I've played them all over so many times and know them off by heart but they never get old to me.

Most Disney movies tbh, they're just easy and fun to watch.

All of the Jurassic park films.

The Mummy and The Mummy Returns.

The LoTR movies.

Pacific Rim.

I need little breaks from WoW but I still love it after 8 years of playing. It helps that I've got a pretty solid group that I play with, the social aspect of the game is what can really make or break it tbh.

And Stargate SG1 and Atlantis.

Only the first Jurassic Park movie is that for me, though I enjoy all the others.

That's fair, it's the best of the lot certainly, but I enjoy the others for the daft action movies that they are as well.

Buffy will definitely be in that list for me now!

I keep going back to Smallville, Dead Like Me, and fun women-centered movies like The Sweetest Thing or Bring it On

The Tinkerbell films by Disney. They were gorgeous, actually decent, and I liked most of the music. I put them on when I just want something light to watch or listen to in the background.

The way it ended on the last film broke my fucking heart though. :( What a way to go.

Buffy, DS9, Bobs Burgers are the top tier.

Gilmore Girls and now Orphan Black are now in the "would stop to watch any time my fav characters are on-screen" 2nd tier.

Movies: 5th Element, Shakespeare in Love.
Moana and Fantastic Creatures might join that list (too soon to tell though)

If someone made a version of Gilmore Girls that was just Paris Geller, I could definitely watch that
