I'm going to give this a shot but I'm not sure I'm going to like it much, I'm not a Punisher fan in the comics and while I liked Frank in s2 of Daredevil he was a side-character so it worked for me.

Remains to be seen if I'll like him as the focus of the show.

I just don't think I can take a manpain revenge storyline that feels like its been done many times

I really like what they did with his character in Daredevil, but I'm beginning to get concerned about the series. They're way too coy with the release date, and they are all about style over substance. I remember long, long runs of the comics Punisher that were one dimensional and blah, without heart, and that's increasingly looking like what we're getting.

All that's irrelevant to this, though. I love the character, but I entirely agree about his weird freaky headfacething, anon.

I'm really not a Punisher fan (except when they go for black humour - Garth Ennis wrote some great comics there), so despite watching the rest of the Marvel Netflix series (yes, even Iron Fist) I'm going to skip this one. Unless I hear it's really good from people who also dislike Punisher man pain vengeance stories!
