I was carrying the cake (with lit candles) out to the birthday person when their asshole of a golden retriever started jumping on me as I reached the steps down onto the backyard patio. I lost my balance and I dropped the cake to break my fall. Of COURSE the fucking thing falls top down on the dog and the ground. The candles were snuffed out but the cake was ruined.

That ended the party and I still hate myself.

that wasn't your fault, it was the fault of the people who own that dog and didn't train it properly or at least put it in someplace where it would do the least amount of damage.
