A backdoor pilot is a pilot for a TV show (in this case, Wayward Sisters) disguised as an episode of an existing TV show. The last I heard, that's all that was currently happening with this spinoff. I hadn't heard that a full series was going to be released, and was just asking for clarification.

Oh I see. Well, i think the pilot may very well be done that way, but it's in the works to be it's own series, and really - i think Show fans will love having the WS start as an episode.

Unless you're talking about RPF, and then a backdoor pilot is something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.
