I'm really sorry you're going through this but I hope you don't give up. Reach out some other way if you can. I know it must hurt and I'm not trying to minimize that, but don't give up.

I really don't know where else I can go. I can't afford a therapist or meds right now, which is part of why I was trying to ask for help - I've been stuck in a toxic job situation for almost a year and it finally got to the point where I had a complete breakdown and a panic attack over having to go into work the other day. I managed to land a seasonal job that will at least partially tide me over for a little while, so I was trying to ask my parents for a little bit of help just until I could find something else more permanent because it's clear that I can't stay in this job any longer. They pretty much told me to just suck it up and deal with it, but I've been trying to do that for almost a year now and obviously it's not working because things aren't getting any better.

If the choices are quit your job even though you have no idea how you're going to support yourself or suicide, then quit your job and try to figure it out. I'm sorry you're going through this, and my advice may not be the smartest or the most logical and it's certainly pretty scary to quit your job and not know how you're going to take care of yourself, but at least you're alive. And maybe if you get free of the toxic job situation, you'll be in a better place to find something new/another job/another way. There was a time when I had no job, lost my house, had no one to turn to, and I considered suicide because it seemed like the logical way to solve my problems, but I'm really glad I didn't give up. Don't give up.

No job is worth dying for.

I was in a job where I was getting bullied and gaslighted (gaslit?) by my supervisor, and that had done such a number on my self-esteem that I couldn't imagine why anybody would hire me. But I finally quit anyway and scrambing to find a job and worrying about money was STILL less stressful than that job had been.
