I hope you're not in the US, where crops are rotting in the fields thanks to fucking ICE goon squads and the racist rants and ham-fisted policy of our "glorious leader." It sucks that undocumented immigrants were paid shit wages and worked to the bone to harvest crops, but now that so many have gone to ground to avoid the threat of deportation, big farming operations are finding that even double the minimum wage and humane conditions (ie white people perks) won't entice the American citizens who whined about stolen jobs into picking tomatoes for two bucks a bushel. Farm labor is fucking hard.

Same anon--but I hope when the grand cheeto is out of office that any brave farmworkers from south of the border who come back are given white people perks like health insurance and decent wages because you's think living A Day Without a Mexican for a harvest season or two would make big farming conglomerates treat their workers like people instead of shit.
