I don't really think there is anything to do in this case, though, short of creating an entirely new community. A majority of the comm (and by in large, the fandom) loves the head mod to death, so speaking against or suggesting improvements really aren't gonna do much.

That's the thing though, is that it's not meant to solve anything. It's meant to get an opinion out, which may or may not be shared, without acting upon it.

Maybe you've missed it; but a certain mod screened reasonable comments when someone *cough* politely pointed out her mistakes. That's utterly sneaky.

You could be a little more polite. I don't think I was saying anything completely out of line.

And if the head mod is doing things like that (which I agree isn't right at all) and you or anyone else has a problem with it, try taking your complaints and concerns to the other mods first. If that doesn't work, confront the head mod somewhere other than LJ, say through e-mail or an IM service. There are better ways to make complaints about mod issues than to post something on F!S, considering doing so here isn't going to solve anything.

I've lost interest in the KKM fandom ever since and thus don't care what happens to the community anymore. Either way she's the main mod and everyone follows her words, not going to mingle with them anyway.

I'd take it to the other mods if I thought they'd do something about it, but I honestly don't think they will. They love her and always back her up, even when she's wrong and acting like a bitch. And the head mod won't listen. Period.

I'm still relatively new to the fandom, but the main mod at the Wolfram community has been one of the best I've come across. Maybe I missed something, but I thought this secret was uncalled for.

^^; I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with anything, I just don't really think people should complain about something if they're not going to do something to try and fix it. If people don't like her, then there are better ways to handle something like this.

If you don't like the community, that's fine; no one really cares.

But the reason most of the 800 members really love the mod, is that she contributes so much to the KKM community in general. This is someone who stays up late so she can quickly post summaries of the latest KKM episodes for everyone to enjoy. She also takes the time to translate parts of the novels and drama CDs, since most of us can't understand them. And I must disagree; she is an outstanding mod - she never tolerates character or personal bashing in her comm. There's a reason your f-list loves this community right? Maybe because it's truly a nice place to hang out?

In all the many KKM comms, Miyuchan is one of the people who contribute the most to the fandom, and certainly more than someone who runs around bashing people publicly.

Not necessarily - but taking the time to translate materials, when she totally doesn't have to, is a very generous thing to do. I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates these things.

I agree with you about offering suggestions for improvement.
If someone is not being comfortable, the should send an e-mail to the comm or to us, the mods, explaining what we can do so the community is a better place for everyone. ^^ All this in a civil way, of course.

And I'm probably alone here, but saying that everything there is crappy is a bit mean and insulting to the artists/writers/etc. I think there's a lot of talented people there. And there's a lot of people who enjoy what is posted there as well. If it's not of that person's taste...well, there's not a lot that can be done.

If that person decides to send an e-mail and express his/her concerns and offers suggestions so we can make a better work it'd be nice ^^. We really don't bite people.

And also, going that far to start public personal attacks against Miyu isn't going to solve things here and it's rude. ^^ Just like you said, if they have any complaints or suggestions, it'd be better to send an e-mail and say it straight.

And I thank you for trying to keep things calm, even if they got a bit out of control in the end ^^'.

Agreeing here. People like OP need to do less complaining and more contributing if they want a better comm. And if OP isnt even a member, then why bother complaining in the first place? They're just making assumptions about the membership of the comm like everyone else in the fandom does, and it really is starting to piss me off.

I agree with those who have said that if you have an issue with the comm, the wise thing to do would be to take it up with the mods, not to come to a place like this and not only insult the main mod, but others in the fandom.

I'm new to these types of LJs but are the point of these to harm, or hurt the feelings of others? Or just to get an opinion across? You are completely entitled to say what you feel, that is the joy of the internet, but in your disapproval of one you've probably just bashed and hurt far more. Unless that was your intention...

Remember... internet life isn't life. There are far more important things in this world than a fandom or an anime. And to be annoyed or frustrated over these types of things just isn't worth the mental effort, when all you have to do is close the page, or turn your computer off... it is that easy...
