102 I won't try to explain it, but, I find it interesting that I never understood slash until this pairing... This one and Jack/Daniel were what converted me.
169 I dunno, I think maybe you're reading too much into it. Sure, porn gets more attention, but it doesn't mean that's all people are writing and all people are reading. Just as smaller pairings get fewer readers and feedback, so stories that aren't porn get the same deal. Doesn't make me like the smaller pairings any less...
I guess here I want to say that fandom =/= RL, and that fandom = wish fulfillment. It's not wish fulfillment to me to have characters living out their lives as realistically as possible, because usually the realism is what makes us want to escape to fandom. I mean, I'll read a few unhappy ending fics if they're well-written, but they just depress me, you know? Except ALL of us have some RL story about being rejected, and fewer of us have RL stories about the sex we've had.

My fourth thought was wondering why so many vampires have unfortunate resemblance to mouth breathing Neanderthals. Especially since they don't even need to breathe. And my fifth thought was something about his rooster hair.
