113 Seriously, seeing that just now made my heart stop. We've been waiting sooooooo long! I met him eight years ago, right before the second book came out, and he promised it wouldn't take so for the next book to come out... haha.

Well, if it has, indeed, been fifteen years, then teeeechnically, it didn't take as long for the second book to come out.

Oh man. I don't know whether to hope (I've forgotten) that it's the final book to a trilogy, thus ensuring we'll never have to wait again, or hope there'll be more. ...though personally, lovely as unicorns are and all, I'd love to see more of his stories with goblins. Especially something like "The Stinky Princess."

BTW, jealous like mad that you met him. With Roald Dhal and whoever wrote The Last Slice of Rainbow stories, he's one of the three writers of my childhood who totally influenced the person I became.

The third book was meant to be the end, but it got too long and he broke it into parts. The fourth book "The Last Hunt" is partially already written and "shouldn't take too long to be published." Whatever that means.

I always liked his short stories best, after the Unicorn Chronicles. That's how I first started reading his stuff, from some random anthology.

I happened to be writing a high school paper about him when he did a visit to a school the next town over. I went over there and too original quotes for my paper and got my copy of A Glory Of Unicorns signed. It was one of the best days ever! But maybe he still visits schools, you should check, and meet him, too. He's super nice.

Ah good. So, I suppose when I meet a guy, get married, and have kids, I can read it to 'em the week that it comes out. Fab!

I love his short stories, but his novels had the greatest impression on me. The "My Teacher is an Alien" and "Aliens Ate My Homework" series just changed my views on so many things. And I loved the Magic Shop books. Kept hoping to find that place.
