109. Mmmm... Jason Statham. I would definitely be in the theater if he was the next James Bond but I don't think Daniel Craig is doing a bad job. Actually I would run to the theater no matter what movie he was in. *LOL*

168. I find their relationship facinating too but in a non-slash way. Though I did read something--forgot where--that said that Big Boss was bisexual in canon but for the life of me I don't know if that is official or fandom. The only relationships that I can think of for Big Boss that are canon are him and EVA (bleh) and his relationship with the Boss (Kojima mentioned this in Metal Gear Saga vol. 1).
I'm near the beginning of MGS4 and anxious to see what plot developments we'll see in regards to Big Boss.

And BB/The Boss is canon? Hrm. I think I prefer them having a very powerful platonic/familial love (although, considering The Sorrow is one of the "sons of The Boss", those terms don't necessarily go together... :P ). I do really like Boss/EVA though, unlike everyone else!

I can understand that. The way Kojima described their relationship it was an all encompassing love that covered the familial, teacher/student, and lover aspects.

*lol* Yeah, that phrase is kinda funny for him considering that's her baby's daddy.
I do really like Boss/EVA though, unlike everyone else!
*LOL* On some of my reaction post to MGS3, I talked about how I went back and forth with liking and disliking EVA. I was so mad at her at the end of the game.

In this scene, the gun Ocelot is holding is the engraved model. This is the only place it appears. He brought it expecting to be praised by Snake.
Ocelot : "その構え、その構えだ That stance, it's that stance!"
Ocelot seems happy, he's been hoping to see that stance again. He's very happy about meeting Snake.
Ocelot looks at Snake, his face filled with frustration from his two failures and losses of composure. But he likes Snake even more.
Snake stops Eva from shooting the running away Ocelot because he is starting to like Ocelot.
Snake and Ocelot, from the first moment they set eyes upon each other, they both fell into liking with each other. It is a pure love.
The Boss : "ザ･フィアー、ジ･エンドがやられた The Fear and The End are defeated."
Ocelot : "さすがだ… He's really something..."
Volgin : "惚れたのか？ Fallen for him?"
In an off guarded moment, Ocelet accidentally spoke his real mind.
Ocelot has already fallen into a dream state regarding Snake.
Look at Ocelot here (between him saying "臭いだ It's the smell" and "香水ではない It's not the perfume"), Snake is about to speak, and he is so anxious to impress Snake that he doesn't even wait for Snake to ask the question and already he answers.

LOL, seconding the "bleh" on EVA/Big Boss. But interesting that Kojima said Big Boss / Boss was canon. I mean, I kind of suspected there might have been a bit of sparks between the two at one time or another, but for the most part I kind of entertained the idea that the two were more familial.

There really was a great deal of chemistry. A lot of my favorite scenes from the game deal with those two. I'll never stop laughing at Ocelot trying to mimic "that stance!" The fight in the Wig showed that Naked Snake liked Ocelot but for me it wasn't in that way.
Although I have no doubt that Ocelot had some sort of a strange, obsessive "crush" on Big Boss.
Yeah, I agree with you. I think Ocelot had a big ol' man crush on Big Boss. I can so see him dragging Big Boss to go see The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly with him despite the fact that BB isn't big on movies.

It does make sense. I'm not exactly sure how far I'm into the game but I'm already seeing examples of what you're talking about.

I thought so too. From the way he described their relationship it sounds like it was made up of a lot of things including the familial, teacher/student, and lover. When he said, "lover" I thought, "Wow!" But like you said, that may have been in the past and not an ongoing thing. He didn't specify. But it's certainly clear that the Boss was the most important woman in Big Boss's life. ;_;
