In all seriousness, I think everyone should just do what makes them happy. If it makes you happy to be a fake lesbian, then do it by all means. If you're actually not fake at all, then that's it! What's all the fuss about?
Also everyone overreacting to this secret says a lot. But that's just me.

The secret doesn't really apply to me, as I'm not a lesbian. I have whole other issues of my own in real life and fandom because of my 'lifestyle' choices.
This secret is just a part of what my girlfriend and I go through everyday on the intertubes and irl, which is the assumption that she just hasn't met the right throbbing piece of manmeat or is too bitter or crazy or something to jump on it. I mean, wow, way to invalidate her sexuality and reduce men as a gender to the dangly between their legs. If someone says they are something, I think they have a right to be believed, rather than "You are a lesbian than you absolutely can never look at men again and never write them and never think about them or like male characters or use them in your icons or want to pair them they must DISGUST you or obviously you just want cock... Also you must be fat."
There's my teal deer for the day, sorry if you Don't Care, but that's what the fuss if about (and I'm not even here to make a fuss! I just see a lulzcow made of a bunch of butthurt and moronic trolls and I jump the hell on that cow and ride it until I'm bored or they stop being lulzy). We wouldn't be so cranky if there weren't real life precedents for this kind of failggotry, but the internet isn't real life and so we can actually speak out/be jerks back which not all of us can always do irl (even if we want to)

I don't think your girlfriend is fake and I do think she can genuinely like or admire male fictional characters while still wanting teh pussy. I know there's a Kinsley scale and everything to be seen in regards to sexuality, that one man can be the exception to your all-women rule and vice versa. I just think that, under that excuse, a lot of people are harming the oti opinion of gay girls in general, and that if what one feels is just curiouity then they should just straightforward say so. I've been hurt in the past by that kind of people and I know others who have as well.
It's just... I think a girl should unashamedly call herself bisexual if that's what she is, as much as a boy should. But calling oneself a lesbian when you are not, and I mean, I know someone who calls herself a lesbian when she's engaged to a man, and believe me, he's not her exception, I've seen her crave the dudes high and wide... I think that's the ultimate lack of respect for genuinely gay girls.
You don't just wake up one day and decide you're gay, or start toying with the idea when you're bored. If you do, there's one word to describe you and it's bicurious, and if you do and say you're gay there's one word for you and it's liar. Discovering you're gay, and I'm sure you and your girlfriend have both gone through this, is a process, and it can be terrifying, and it sort of hurts that people can be so flippant about it.
And you know, ironically, I think there's absolutely nothing sexual about "sexual orientation" in general. I could make out with guys if I trusted them, just like a straight girl can make out with other straight girls when she's bored. But I could only love a girl. MAYBE a guy in one million, and there's when I start talking exceptions (I'll never call myself 100% gay, because Kinsley 6s don't exist.)
