ZOMG. I can't believe the ammount of backlash this post is gettting.

People. This person is obviously talking about someone specific. Someone who has ONLY ever written about MEN. Someone who crushed BIG TIME on ONLY male characters in whatever it is they are interested in.

So all your personal experience stories about eating pussy and being well rounded and appreciated the emotional attachment of any two people reguardless of gender are great, really. Me, too. But they do NOT APPLY.

Don't take it personally that there *are* actually people out there who are either pretending, confused, or traumatized for whatever reason that they are lesbians. BECAUSE THAT HAPPENS! Really! Just like there are people who really are lesbians.

I had a friend who was SO GAY that we knew it, we would take pics of him coming out of rooms all the time and show them off as his 'coming out'. It was YEARS before he actually realized it, himself. Then when he finally did come out we all just laughed and congratulated him on catching up.

This is the same thing in reverse. For whatever reason this girl is playing lesbian, when all aparent urges are otherwise. And yes, it could even be possible that to avoid facing the fact that she's miserable and unwanted by men (which doesn't have to do with weight but rather self-esteeme) she simply pretends she never wanted men in the first place.

Although reading it again I'm seeing that the last sentence is plural to all fat fangirls, and not just one. Hmn. maybe that's the problem.

I think a lot of people got annoyed because, well, there ARE a lot of lesbians/bisexuals/queers who like yaoi. And, to be honest, queers get attacked enough on the flimsiest of reasons that it gets sort of irritating to be be randomly attacked for our fandom fantasies too.

God knows I prefer reading about a character I care about to reading about a character whose genitalia matches mine.

Yeahh, that last bit is why most of the explosions, I think. But I just love the fact that whatever anonymous is running around like an idiot is responding to even people who respond with lolwhut with, and I quote for example here: "lol you're probably just mad because it applies to you"

I guess my friend who has been with her lesbian partner for 17 years and runs several slash archives is just 'confused'. I'll be sure to let her know that 17 years isn't long enough to figure it out that she really wants cock instead.

Also? The whole thing about not crushing on female characters? Just because they don't write fic about them doesn't mean they're not crushing on them and it might have more to do with the horrific lack of well-rounded female characters. But that's just me.
