139. My first exposure to homosexuality was fanfic, too. Let's just say that I would have been VERY fucking confused if I hadn't gotten into yaoi.

158: I don't get why people are reacting to this. Some schmuck can use photoshop to make a picture declaring that they can determine your sexuality based on fandom. Woo. Fantastic. If a fandom secret seriously makes you defensive about your sexuality... maybe you need to consider WHY.

(Note that I'm not saying to question your sexuality. Just think about why you feel the need to defend it against a troll.)

This is actually a reminder why I should never reply to secrets in a bad mood. XD Personally, I would probably have left well enough alone besides a "lol ufail," but I happen to have a friend I love to death who IS overweight, a slash fan, and very happily engaged. She's one of the coolest people I know, and she is constantly downing herself because of her weight and trying to fix it, and I really, really hate seeing secrets like that one and "LOL YOU FAT PEOPLE RUIN COSPLAY" type of thing because it's that sort of feedback that really ruins people's self esteem.

I'm actually pretty glad I get to participate in the wank right now though, even a little, because the anonymous responding to like every single negative comment to this secret- including the "lolwut"s and "oh u, troll"s- with replies of "WAH WAH fatass cry moar" is like. Incredible. I can't really tell their motives, but it's kind of like watching a severely retarded duckling walk into the same exact tree, in a field otherwise devoid of trees, over and over and over again. XD

Heh, I kinda know the feeling. My mother is morbidly obese (medical problems- very little of her weight problem is actually HER fault). My only concern for people who are overweight are the health ramifications (and no, not because "it's a drain on the healthcare system", but because some of those ramifications can be PAINFUL) but if they're find with it, so be it.

"fat jokes" aren't funny to me, honestly. Just like AIDS and cancer jokes aren't.

(Am I over-explaining myself or what? XD)

I have no idea what their motivation is, either. But you know what? Occam's razor. They're being a dick because they can, far as I'm concerned. It's a grab for attention, and I don't like negative reinforcement. Just a personal quirk, I suppose. XD
