I tend to assume that they're mostly just lying about all their illict coke orgies for PR purposes

"In evenings, I like to snort a few lines off a stripper's tits and then bingewatch something off Netflix before drinking myself to sleep."

Somehow I read this as "illicit corgis." Like the little dogs.

A lot of celebrities are pretty mundane people outside of being popular which is nice.

Acting or singing is just another job. If you wouldn't go hang gliding after a day at the office, what makes you think they would.

To be fair, actors do a lot of stuff that's normal for them, but not for people with regular jobs. I don't know about you, but I don't travel around the country doing talk shows and interviews promoting my latest project at work. I don't attend red carpet walks or award ceremonies. I also don't go to fancy Hollywood parties.

Because they can afford to, and I can't?

In addition to what the other two anons said, I also assume that there is a type of personality that someone has if they go into acting. Someone more outgoing and willing to take a risk than I am, just because of being willing to do the job they do. Just as my sister and her firefighter friends are also much more outgoing and daring than I am. It's the type of person who I assume goes into professions like those, rather than being a teacher like me.

Maybe it's "just another job" if you're not a famous actor or singer. If you are, then chances are you're also a lot richer than OP or anyone here on FS and your everyday life isn't going to look like the average person's, either.

My favorite celebrity doesn't drink and even though I don't have a problem with people drinking (and only don't do it myself because of meds)it kind of makes me happy that he doesn't. (I'm sure his life is very different from mine, but I still like that.)

I get it, OP.

I have a sneaking suspicion I know who this quote is from, but I'm probably wrong.

(Anonymous) 2017-10-02 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
Who?

(Anonymous) 2017-10-02 02:52 am (UTC)(link)
Bill Skarsgard
