Re: Does changing a character's sexuality/sexual habits make a fic OOC (or AU)?

who fucking cares if someone says it's OOC, it's fanfic done for your own damn pleasure. if you're really worried about make a disclaimer. and i mean yeah, it's probably somewhat unusual/out of character for the character to do those things, but your job as writer is to make it believable. sexuality is fluid and people lie, so it's not entirely inconceivable.

sorry if this is comes as a harsh, but it sounds like you're procrastinating because you want your fic to be beyond awesome and well loved. which are admirable goals, but you'll never actually accomplish anything if you can't get words written down. i'm probably projecting and have no idea what i actually wanted to say, sorry if you made it reading this far.

OP

No, you're right. A big part of it is probably me procrastinating because I don't want any negative reaction at all, but...that's not realistic. Even if I wrote a canon pairing with everything exactly the same as it is in the canon, I'm sure there would still be some people who didn't like it for whatever reason. So I probably should just write what I want and not worry so much about how people will react.

Anyway, thank you!
