Haha, oh wow, I had such a crush on them when they first showed up and were evil (I'm assuming that's when they first showed up...that was the first time I'd ever seen them, anyway).

I think their present incarnations were shown first, then Future Trunks had flashbacks and got a special detailing more. Had a small crush on 18, myself...think that was the first time I saw a cartoon girl unapologetically kick ass.
