I wish we could have had both pairings (and I'm particularly resentful of John's pasted-on love interest Iris, who could have been an interesting character and never got to do anything!) but Root and Shaw are amazing.

(Though I also liked John/Zoe a lot, but that was never going anywhere serious.)
