I want to know whether by "advocate against" OP means "talk about why you don't like incest ships" or "tell people who ship it that they're nasty freaks who deserve to die."

Same. 'Advocate' gives me crusader vibes of seeking out incest shippers and attacking them. If this is the case, which it may not be, OP, don't bother, you won't win.

I mean "talk about why you don't like incest ships", yes. Never attacked anyone over incest, but it is known in my fandom that I don't like it. From time to time I see BLmatsu hate from my fandom friends and get akward that I can't relate when I should? Hence the secret.

I honestly want to congratulate you because it seems like the light might be starting to dawn on you that maybe ship hate is a super dumb thing to get invested in? Like, the fact that you can't relate to hate of this ship is a GOOD thing. It's the beginning of a whole new world of NOT hating ships.

It's a good place to be. Develop that ability to NOT hate ships. If your friends can't get up to your not-hating level, find better friends.
