But it's definitely not a fluffy bunnies show, so how are you going to say that Discovery is anti-Trek because it's depressing?

I didn't say it wasn't Star Trek. Ds9, while depressing at times, still had its moments and storylines that I loved. Discovery is nothing but a dull drama and pretty effects, the whole atmosphere is too dark and the sense of wonder is just gone. I try to enjoy it because I waited for the new Trek series for so long, but I just can't.

That's fair if you just don't like the show. It's the idea that it's lost the Star Trek spirit, and that Orville has the Star Trek spirit, that seems dumb to me.
