Seconded, but moreso because I think Casca was annoying and weak to begin with. I hated that she seemed strong and independent at first when she was really doing everything for Griffith and nothing for herself. Femto used her to rape Gutts anyways.

But you being unfair on Caska when Guts did the same thing. Why Guts started to fight? To impress his foster father. Hell, until he caught that speech Griffith gave to Charlotte, he was following Griffith to the letter after he accepted the Band of Hawk in this life, and it was because he wanted Griffith to see him as a equal, he left.

I agree I'm piss annoyed that Caska lost it, but I never though she was weak.

I think Gutts left not just to prove that to Griffith but also because he wasn't sure if he wanted to keep following him at all. Was he going to keep chasing Griffith's dream, or make one of his own? That was my interpretation of that scene, but I can also see (and agree with) your point of view.

What I meant by weak is that Casca completely conformed to the role of the love-sick girl whose life is dedicated to a man. It seemed like she had no aspiration to do anything but serve Griffith. I thought she was going to be awesome but she disappointed me so much, even before she turned into a babbling 3 year old. I liked her and Gutts relationship much more... but her slavish devotion to Griffith annoyed me, and that too is because she's a woman.
