I'm sorry. That's the worst.

I hate when people take a request for one thing to gripe about and tear into someone for something else.

I had someone once twist my arm into changing my plot for an original story because the plot reminded her of a certain kind of fanfic and thus it was a 'bad plot'. I didn't even come to them for advice on my plot just setting information for a certain time period/type of setting.
