You're a lawyer, and you think the media actually provides you with anything close to the summary of evidence you'd expect yo get in a court room, or even making a charging decision as a case reviewing lawyer?

Fucking l e l.

And the reality is police by virtue of their job role are orders of magnitude more likely to be in a position where lethal force is required. Particularly if they're American. Yes if Joe Bloggs is involved in a shoot out and somebody dies they're probably going to be indicted, but if Joe Bloggs is a member of SWAT and in uniform I hope I don't have to explain to a lawyer why they probably won't be.
