All I'm getting from this is that people are desperate to find excuses to hate on the ships they don't like or feel compete with the ships they do like. I'm sure racism and misogyny does factor in some of the time, but this mostly sounds like unwarranted nastiness and really reaching for justifications.

The part about Jyn being racist is particularly weird, because while I only saw Rogue One once, I recall her being bitchy to *everybody* in that movie, and the fact that she was bitchy towards more non-white people than white people was because the major characters she interacts with were mostly non-white. She gets mouthy with Mon Mothma, and then the only other white characters I remember her interacting with were her parents and the bad guy.

I'm not involved in SW fandom, but I would imagine a lot of the interpretation and portrayal of Poe and Cassian as Latino, at least initially, comes from Latinx fans who are happy to see someone they feel represents them and are projecting a lot onto the character. I think Space!Mexico, where everything is exactly like Mexico but IN SPACE, can be taking it too far, unless it's intentionally cracky, but I guess don't really care.

I agree that Rey is kind of shitty to Finn early in TFA.

In conclusion, the only SW ship anyone should be shipping is Chewbacca and that doctor who called him brave. All other ships are problematic because y'all are prejudiced against Wookies. Just because they can tear your arms out of their sockets doesn't mean they don't deserve love, guys!
