I didn't think she was too mean. I thought it was a bit embarrassing that nobody was able to complete it, as that just ends up reflecting badly on her.

It makes me sad when so many people are saying they won't watch it when it's really 95% the same show. Noel and Sandi are still figuring it out, but they're not horrible. Sandi was in tears over the last elimination!

Er...how does it reflect badly on her? There's been difficult technical rounds in the past. They're well known for being stressful.

My thinking is that if the test is designed well there should be a range of results, so you can better rank them. If everyone fails miserably, you have less data to determine who deserves to move forward. Designing a good challenge is part of what makes a good reality show, therefore it can be done badly.

I don't know for sure what happened of course, but Prue is new to it so it seemed plausible?

nayrt - Eh, ideally. But this isn't like a regular test in school. There's a lot that can go wrong in baking, particularly given the wide range of experience in the contestants + a particularly tricky challenge. But let's say you're right, and the higher than usual amount of failures and mishaps reflects badly on Prue for choosing that particular recipe... I don't think that excuses her unkind remarks about it.
