I'd like them to read in general. It wouldn't matter to me so much if they read the same genres I do, though someone who was only into Westerns or books about secret agents might not have much to talk to me about.

It would be great if they played Pokemon, but I'd settle for someone who tolerates that I play it.

My favorite band is a German punk band and they would have to put up with me playing the occasional song for them and maybe asking them to read translated lyrics. But it wouldn't be a daily thing or anything. I would want someone who listened to music. Almost any genre would be OK but if they liked a lot of stuff that appeared in "Dave Barry's Book of Bad Songs" that might be getting close to being a deal-breaker. Come to think of it they should read that book.

It would be nice if they watched anime. It would be necessary that they didn't make fun of me for liking it.

But honestly, not meaning to sound pathetic or anything, I've been alone a long time and I don't want to be and I'm not that picky. My deal-breakers are more stuff like bigotry, not an inability to name 10 pokemon or anything like that.
