Haven't we had this conversation on here a million times? She's clearly written as white in the books. The play is kind of a shitty add on to canon in all respects.

Err, I can agree that in the books Hermoine was probably envisioned by Rowling as white. It's not explicitly stated, but I agree implied or suggested in several ways.

But she is black in the play, end of, and word of god asserted that Hermoine could be black even in her books. Ergo, black Hermoine is also canon, no matter how much that annoys you. In the same way Hermoine looks like Emma Watson in the films.
