In the acronym of Savage Love, DTMFA.

You deserve to be treated like a person, too. OP. What that person is doing is bullying and emotional blackmail.

(Also: I agree with the sentiment that people need to take SOME responsibility for their own mental health. When the fuck did it become permissible for people to lay back and expect the universe to revolve around them?)

There is this post going around on tumblr about how people need to control their own exposure to topics they are uncomfortable with instead of seeking them out intentionally and then complaining about it.

You wouldn't believe the number of entitled comments that basically amount to "BUT I DON'T WANNA AND YOU'RE ALL BIG MEANIES IF YOU THINK THAT WAY"...

We have a few of those people here too.

Like "Your secret is so bad, I can't believe it!" and ranting on for fifty more comments. Yeah right. I don't feel sorry for you at all if you're wallowing like a pig in your own shit.

Ugh. It doesn't surprise me. Though I'm glad there at least seems to be an increase in the amount of people I'm seeing saying to take responsibility for themselves and stop acting like everyone else on the internet is somehow responsible for them.

The group of people that purposely go looking for stuff that offends them is slowly making themselves look more and more like jokes... even within tumblr. Or maybe I'm just following the right people.

As somebody with actual, diagnosed-by-a-psychiatrist PTSD, I'm very proactive about avoiding things that will trigger me. If somebody is actually seeking out things to trigger them and then yelling about it online, I'm pretty sure they're faking it for attention.
