Agree with everyone who says your dad should talk to him. He's the one that noticed it and can give expert advice.

I hope you can remain safe, even if you have to stop letting him drive you...

Thank you. I'm not worried about myself so much as him/other passengers/pedestrians, I know he couldn't live with himself if he caused someone else harm but every time I point out a near-miss/lack of conecentration he just sort of laughs it off/blames it on the car. :/ My dad is totally right to be concerned.
