I still can't get over how many people are taking LWYMMD (song and video) seriously, when it obviously wasn't meant to be taken seriously. She's making fun of everyone - herself, her "enemies," and the media.

And if she is annoyed by anything, I'd say she's annoyed by the way people/media sources keep pulling their own presumptive, cynical, and ignorant narratives about her out of their asses and then saying, "She made this narrative herself!!!" and expecting her to agree.

Yeah but it's not very good and it falls flat after her last few ironic self aware songs. The joke is tired and not very funny, especially since the whole schtick now is how mean and different she is now. The only way to defend it as ironic is to argue that the song itself, from the kindergarten lyrics to the I'm too sexy sample, is shitty on purpose and literally just a joke song, which isn't really something I can see Taylor doing.

It's not "obvious" that it wasn't meant to be taken seriously. Like... that just doesn't come across to me in the song itself, and I think the same is true for many listeners. It sounds like it's straightface. In the same way that Blank Space, for instance, didn't sound entirely straight-faced.

It's plausible that she didn't mean it seriously - it's actually highly plausible just because it's extremely unlikely that any adult could possibly mean it seriously. But that doesn't change the fact that to me, and to a lot of other people, the "The old Taylor can't come to the phone right now" bit comes across as serious, even though all logic and good sense would dictate that it could not possibly be serious, even with all the good will in the world towards Swift.

People heard the whole "she can't come to the phone, she's dead" bit and thought it was serious? How?
