Games, TV, Movies, Books

I ended up turning to Disney Channel one day and Stuck in the Middle was just starting so I stuck with it.

It's pretty charming, and I love their house.

Game of Thrones. I am not a huge fan of fantasy stuff.

Overwatch. I hate first person games. Not a fan of shooters. But I love this game!

Tomorrowland. I went to go see it just because Hugh Laurie (I am not normally keen on Disney movies) and I wound up liking it a lot.

The Silent Hill movie (the first one). I generally hate horror movies because they scare me too much, but my friends invited me and I felt like I had to go and I ended up liking it and getting into the games. (I realize it's not exactly the best horror movie ever made but the monsters were pretty good.)

Also High School Musical 3. I only went because I promised my kid and I thought I'd spend the whole time waiting for it to be over but I actually enjoyed it. (I still haven't seen the first two though.)

Borderlands 2.

I'm not into shooters typically and mostly find them tedious, but the story and characters pulled me in with this one. It's not my most favourite game ever but I do like it a lot, probably helps that I can snipe enemies from like half the map away, lol.

Oh and the same for Left 4 Dead and Dead Space, but with those I enjoy the horror aspect and story.

Pacific Rim. I expected to find it mildly entertaining, I wasn't expecting to absolutely love it.

The Orville tbh

I really enjoy the Orville too, but for some reason. I can't make myself watch it until I'm cauht up on everything else. Which means I'm about 3 episodes behind.

Picked up Forza 5 on a recent X Box subscription bonus and I'm finding that 10-minute races are kinda like M&Ms or popcorn.

Monsters Vs. Aliens. Didn't know much about it, but it was awesome.

Wolf in the House. The cover photo used made it seem like it would be a very smutty series (the cover is a man is a dog collar with a very suggestive looking bone), I'm not usually into that kind of stuff, but it seemed to be updating frequently so I checked it out. It is such a sweet and silly series.

a Disney animated series Phineas and Ferb. I love Agent P. It's one of the last hand drawn series I heard.

Supernatural.

I pretty much never stick with anything unless it's got female characters I can identify with, but my friend dragged me into watching it with her, and I ended up really liking it. (Mostly the first 5 seasons, but we still watch together.)

I definitely get this. I like male characters plenty, but I have a strong dislike for stuff that's really machismo-y, and Supernatural is...honestly pretty machismo-y. Like, it's not utterly OTT about it, but it's definitely a show where the men fit the stereotype of "manliness" and rarely challenge it. But I ended up thinking the first few seasons were pretty good regardless.

In particular, I think the way the show's big-picture arc got increasingly bigger and darker was handled extremely well - in fact almost seamlessly. And the relationship between Sam and Dean felt extremely well written and believable.

Buffy and The Walking Dead. I'm not a horror fan by any stretch of the imagination, so it I never expected to become fans of either series.

The Uncharted series. I played the fourth game and really enjoyed it and went back and played the other three games as well. I'm still waist-deep into the fandom and writing fic for it.

The Left 4 Dead series, because I'm kind of a wimp and I didn't think that I would enjoy a zombie shooting game. Boy was I wrong.

The Walking Dead. Also because I'm a wimp and I don't normally like gore or zombies. Welp.
