Cross nationality fandoms

Has anyone had experience of working with a writer artist who doesn't speak the same language as them?

I'm working on a fan work with a Japanese fan and we're communicating through Google translate. It's a lot of fun but google translate is still so limited!

That sounds really entertaining! Like, difficult on a practical sense, but it's so cool to bond with someone across the world like that.

GT definitely presents challenges but it's definitely a lot of fun. She's absolutely lovely too :)

Yes! A JP artist I follow drew a character from our shared fandom as the Hunter (Bloodborne), and I fucking loved it so I drew the same character as the Hunter as well as another one as the Doll. She was thrilled and we both did our best to communicate with each other using Google translate, haha. It was really sweet and fun!
