Well it's especially obnoxious when you really can't eat the food for health reasons.

And I think there are people who are raised that way. I remember talking to a mother who was otherwise a laid-back person, but she said she expected people to eat her food because she worked hard on it and she thought it was very rude if her kids refused food from their grandparents. But why would I want my own family members to eat food they don't like?
