Yeah, I'm Canadian, and I'm pretty relaxed about swearing, but if I hear a Canadian guy using "cunt" in public, I generally regard that as a sign to keep him at arms length. (Not a big fan of women using it either, but as it is essentially a gendered slur, it bothers me less when women use it, as long as they're not using it to attack each other.)

OTOH, I don't hold the British Isles crowd to the same standards, since I know that it just doesn't carry the same weight over there.

Yeah i'm a brit and it really isn't that big a deal over here.
