Brought on by the fact that I just back buttoned out of two fics which might have been decent but were written in fucking lapslock. At least fucking tag it so I don't waste my time clicking.

While we're at it, WHY IS IT SO HARD TO TYPE A FIC WITH PROPER UPPER CASE LETTERS??? WHEN DID THIS BECOME A THING? WHY DID IT BECOME A THING? CAN IT UN-BECOME A THING?

If the fic is literally a poem then I could accept that as a good reason, but if it's long and has paragraphs it's hard to think of any reason to avoid capital letters.

Infidelity (or cheating or adultery.) I don't know why because there are far more unpleasant things in most of my canons, like wars. But there's something about that personal betrayal that really gets up my nose.

(I ran into a fic where it wasn't warned for because the author is poly and "sex with other people is just natural" and ugh.)

Non-canon pet-names or nicknames(depends on how often though, if it's like once or twice in the whole fic I can put up with it if I'm otherwise enjoying it).

Fics that de-age their aged up characters and have them do the dance with no pants. People can write whatever they want, but if a fic states that the characters are aged up, I don't want then de-aged for sexy times. At least tag it properly.

Not starting a new paragraph when another character speaks. I'm starting to see it in published works too (though maybe it's some kind of Kindle-based issue) and it makes me totally confused.

Sam calls Dean "De." I have literally never read a story where that happened that kept Sam even remotely in character.
