(Anonymous) 2017-10-20 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)I'm really excited for it. Obi-wan's my favorite character and there's a lot from that time period that I'd love to see explored. (Although I wouldn't say no to a baby-Obi-wan and more Jedi lore either, but I want a Ewan movie first.)

Plus in general, if they're during the time of the Jedi Order still being around, they'd have to work on bringing back more than just Liam Neeson.
Whereas between RotS and ANH there's actually stuff that could be done there.
I personally would like it to be Obi-Wan having to leave the planet for 'one last mission' or something to help another Jedi on the run maybe. Heck, I think there was a Legends novel with former Jedi padawan Ferus Olin that had him contacting Obi-Wan for something like that? It's been a very long time since I saw that one so I could be completely remembering it wrong.
But yeah, when you've got an actor who's already said they'd do the role and is pretty much at the perfect age to do it...why not work with what you've got? Ewan's Obi-Wan is pretty popular.

(Anonymous) 2017-10-21 12:59 pm (UTC)(link)For me, I want Obi-wan to remain on Tattooine. I think there's a lot that can happen right there, and I dislike the idea of him leaving.
I would definitely need Liam back for a baby-Obi-wan movie. That's the only way it would be interesting to me. I want a Ewan movie way more but I do find the Jedi interesting and I would love to see more of Obi-wan's early life with his master. But I think that kind of thing would maybe be better served as a comic or book. I wouldn't say no but I would only be really interested in it after a Ewan Obi-wan movie. Before that, I think a majority of fans would be disappointed.
