I had that problem for a while. I don't rewatch stuff much, but I couldn't get into new stuff and just didn't watch much of anything. Finally I looked around for stuff that was a little different so it wouldn't seem like the same old thing, and I watched some shows with shorter episodes so my attention span could handle it.

But I still have trouble. It took me forever to get through the first episode of "Hinterland." Granted, it was very long. (Also I hated the ending, but I'm still going to give the second episode a chance.)

For me personally that's always a sign of being stressed or my depression about to kick off.

yeah, I was about to suggest going through a depression inventory because that looks like an early symptom.

I go through periods like that, and I find it to be mostly a comfort thing. If you're struggling in real life, the perfect certainty of knowing what is going to happen in the things you've read/watched before is really nice.
